Ruba el Helou
Rouba El Helou is currently a part-time lecturer in journalism and media studies in the Department of Mass Communication at Notre-Dame University (NDU). She holds an MA degree in journalism from the Lebanese University (LU) in collaboration with the “French Press Institute- IFP” (Paris) and the “Center for the Formation and Perfecting of Journalists-CFPJ” (Paris). She is interested in topics related to censorship, social media, news gathering, online news verification and data mining. In addition to that, she is a journalist with Al Majalla Al Kadaiyat (the first specialized legal magazine in the Levant region since 1921).
She designed a course syllabus titled “News Room Management” for M.A. students. The course introduced basic business concepts, terminology, history, and management theories in print media, in addition to the great shift from the old to new media.

روبى الحلو محاضرة صحافة و دراسات إعلامية بدوام جزئي في قسم وسائل الاتصال الجماهيري في جامعة سيدة اللويزة (NDU). حاصلة على شهادة الماجستير في الصحافة من الجامعة اللبنانية بالتعاون مع “معهد الصحافة الفرنسية-IFP” و “مركز الصحفيين للتكوين والاتقان-CFPJ” باريس. من اهتماماتها الرقابة ، وسائل الإعلام الإجتماعية ، جمع الأخبار، والتحقق من البيانات الاخبارية على الانترنت واستخراج المعلومات. بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، الحلو صحفية في ” المجلة القضائية.” صممت منهاج دراسي لدورة بعنوان ” إدارة غرفة الأخبار” لطلاب الدراسات العليا. قدمت الدورة مفاهيم إدارة الأعمال الأساسية ، المصطلحات، التاريخ، ونظريات الإدارة في وسائل الإعلام المطبوعة، بالإضافة إلى النقلة النوعية الكبيرة من وسائل الإعلام القديمة إلى وسائل الإعلام الجديدة
